Things to do today:
- Log in as LATechie and view Picasa photos for EACH of your assigned Winterims
- Click on photos you want in the slide show, choose "copy to album" from Edit drop down menu; choose "Animoto Slide Show" album to copy photo into
- Find open source music for the slide show that will be embedded on the blog.
- Discuss which music/song(s) to use for the assembly slide show.
- PROMOTE the BLOG or a POST you have written or will write today!!!
- Create a post for a group that does not yet have a post (i.e. France)
- Create or prepare an "update" post on Winterims that have yet to have one (Headstart, Yoga, The System, Digital Photo, Belize, Peru, Mnt. Exp., Casa Cayuco, ARC?, Sports Journalism, Martial Arts)
- Create a post for any other Winterim we received information from overnight.

Today was a pretty long and interesting day. We took a very long drive thru the middle of nowhere to NH where we chilled at a internet cafe. It was interesting people watching; there are some interesting characters up there. My lunch sandwich and coffee were fantastic! We then got back in the car and took another really long ride to Nashua to pick up Ms.Poulin's kids and then returned to campus. I think I learned today that me and rural, small town America and I don't mix as well as big city America. Some of the things I saw were just plain odd, yet entertaining.
ReplyDeleteToday was a laid back day at the cafe. It was a pretty good day, the only thing that I wish was different was that there were no power outlets. That would have made it more enjoyable. I liked sleeping in the car ride - that was fun. Also, the grape soda was terrific. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteI slept like a little kid in the car, I needed it pretty badly. My computer died relatively early on in the day, leaving me to munch on the food at the cafe, which truly wasn't bad at all. I may or may not have scared Mrs. Poulin's son with the metal music blasting out of my headphones while I slept on the way back. If I did, then I apologize.
ReplyDeleteWe drove about two hours up to Marlborough, New Hampshire to the Jitter Bean Internet Cafe where we were not allowed to plug anything in the wall. This was a major problem for me because I needed to edit video and there were no Macs in the internet cafe and we couldn't take in the Mac mini and a monitor, so it wasn't a very productive day for me. However, it was good to get out of the classroom and to be outside driving around and just hanging out for a day.
ReplyDeleteI had fun in the sun but im not a vegitarian and it was really hard to find something I wanted to eat but overall it was a really nice trip. THANK YOu!
