  1. Today was a very long day of typing, searching, and registering. I learned about a variety of new resources today- like GoogleDocuments and Delicious. We watched a cool video at the beginning about how the internet and social networking has changed communication and the world, itself. The day was a good educational experience, but I can't wait to actually start blogging about my groups- I hope that my off-campus groups send me some information so that I have something cool to post about. Despite the fact that my eye balls feel like they are going to fall out, it has been a solid day.

  2. Today has been long, but successful. We spent a lot of time registering for new accounts. I have not used many of the applications that we registered for, but i can see myself using these tools in the future.

  4. Since today was the first day of Winterim, nothing too much went on except for setting up all of our accounts for Google, Blogger, and Delicious so that we are ready to go. We watched a few YouTube videos that were about these sites which helped us through the process. We also took some last on-campus group photos that we didn't get to our last meeting. To be honest, today was not the most exciting day for anyone but I am sure things will start to pick up once information starts coming in about the different group's progress, which will hopefully happen soon.

  5. Having used today as a day to configure resources and tools that we can use during the course of Winterim, and perhaps in the future, I feel we accomplished a lot. I am still trying to get the hang of using RSS feeds, though it seems fairly simple. The convenience of the applications that we are using are sure to help me with my organization in the near future.

  6. Like all winterims, the first day is boring and painful, but I feel like we got a lot accomplished, setting up accounts so we're ready to go for the next two weeks!

  7. On The First Day Of Winterim,

    The teacher said to me:

    Make a yahoo
    Learn to use gmail
    Have fun with Blogger
    Take many pictures
    Listen to many lectures
    Watch many videos
Go back and take more pictures
    Add friends on facebook
Advertise LAtechie (The "y" was takin)
    Look at your screen
    For many hours
    And no break in between
Look at what other groups are doing
    Try not to get jealous
    Listen to more lectures
    Pay $200
And a partiridge in a pear tree!!!!!

    They ask me,
    Is your Winterim fun?

  8. Today started out with a lecture which was actually kind of interesting but the fact that it was a lecture made it not so great. Then we learned about Gmap which was very confusing and made me extremley frustrated and made me think if this was all actually worth it. Then we were on our own and I was inserting my information into Gmail.

I honestly would change everything if I had the choice because sitting in a chair for hours would make anyone mad.
