Wednesday - 3/10 Agenda

As of right now your Facebook Fan page was at 90 fans! From 6 to 90 in 24 hours! Let's see if we can add that many more followers to the Blog or Twitter. Challenge: add widget to the LA Winterim Blog which tracks how many visitors we get and/or where they are from. (Not everyone who is visiting the blog or reading it is choosing to become a follower. A widget like this will help you track the traffic to the blog.)

Today's Agenda:
PLEASE no lap tops while Mr. Mundahl is actually talking with you or asking you to engage in an activity. Although, you will NEED your lap top for the work you will do today, I'm asking that we be RESPECTFUL with the use of technology while someone is presenting and close your lap tops. (Mr. Brescia was appreciative of your attention, however he reported later it was difficult for him to gage if you were following or gaining anything from the workshop since all of you had lap tops open and were often "working" or typing on them.) Check out this article which Ms. Ruby found last night regarding lap tops at certain colleges.

Thursday Morning - 6:45 a.m. in front of Schoolhouse

  1. We finally got our blog looking like a blog. Best day yet, we interviewed people about winterim and winterim night time activities. Today was a huge success.

  3. Today I had a good day - the man who came in to help us out gave us some great feedback and our blog is actually looking pretty good right now. I had fun writing my article with kerrin about the quilting-related accidents

  4. Today was an active day. A man from the New Hampton School came to talk to us about social media and helped us make our blog better. Gabe and I re-did our layout of our blog. During lunch, Gabe and I went to the Quilting group to find out about possible Quilting injuries. To our surprise, we came in directly after a quilting accident had occured with the fabric cutter- it became a great story. I also used off campus group schedules to make posts for them even though I haven't heard from them. It was a very productive day!

  5. Today was a good day. Hans was a very friendly fellow and we got to get out of the classroom for a bit to get some interviewing done. Overall very productive. Loving the blog's new look.

  6. Today was by far the most productive day yet. Mr. Hans Mundahl from the New Hampton School came here today and helped us get our blog actually going by making us plan out ways to make it look more interesting and also by posting our blog link to his Twitter page for all of his followers to see. Judd and I shot an interview with Mr. Karp about the origins of Winterim to show people about how this two week period started. Now that we have our blog officially up and running, the next step is to get people (especially from LA) to actually look at it.
